ABOUT

A group assignment creating a cohesive brand image, logo, website and pitch deck including some illustrations for a start up venture Aquafood which we connected with through a collaboration between our school Yrgo and Chalmers. We divided the work among us. I have created the website. I do not take credit for logo, pitch deck, illustrations or icons. Brand identity was conducted together.

Problem
The problem at hand was that Aquafood, a company in need of a cohesive brand image, lacked the necessary visuals for their marketing materials. In response, we undertook the task of developing a brand identity that could be applied across various mediums. This involved creating a visually appealing presentation for their pitch, designing a website that reflected their brand values, and crafting a distinctive logo accompanied by custom illustrations and icons. By delivering a comprehensive visual package, we aimed to establish a strong and consistent brand presence for Aquafood.
Process

The Aquafood project commenced with a thorough discovery phase, involving interviews and discussions to understand the unique value proposition and target audience of the start-up. Through collaborative efforts and iterative feedback loops, we developed a cohesive brand image that resonated with potential investors. ‍Our team divided responsibilities, with Ebba crafting a distinctive logo and pitch deck, myself designing a user-centric website in webflow, and Mauricio creating captivating illustrations and icons based on the brand image consisting of colors and fonts. The final deliverables were prepared and presented to the client, who expressed satisfaction with the visually compelling and impactful brand image we created. The project showcased a successful collaboration, translating the client's vision into a professional and effective brand identity.

Key insights
Our experience working with Aquafood, a real client and company, was invaluable in expanding our understanding of client expectations. By prioritizing the client's needs and effectively communicating design limitations, such as color contrast and user experience, we delivered a successful project. Collaborating as a team, with clear division of tasks and a shared vision, allowed us to work efficiently and maintain a consistent design approach. While the client provided minimal feedback, their trust in our expertise enabled us to confidently make design decisions. Overall, this project emphasized the importance of client-centricity, effective communication, and the value of aligning our design approach with the client's objectives.
